Welcome to Haddenham Barn Dances! We are very excited to be running barn dances (also know as ceilidhs pronounced “Keylee”) at Haddenham Village Hall in Buckinghamshire, HP17 8EE in England UK.
Haddenham enjoyed a tradition of barn dances for 45 years run by John Heydon from December 1971 until retiring in 2016. Charlie Wood a musician and music producer with many years experience in playing in barn dance bands and organising various events including Haddenham Rollers decided it was time to pick up where John left off and revive another fun village event.
Our first barn dance – 8th June 2024
4pm Doors open
4.30pm Welcome from MC Charlie Wood and Morris dancing performance by local morris side Towersey Horseshoes
4.45pm Dancing starts with our first fantastic live band Clan If You Can featuring Neil Esslemont on bagpipes, along with violin, drums and piano. Possibly a guest appearance from Charlie Wood (the organiser) on bass guitar.
5.45pm break, food available
6.15pm Dancing resumes
8pm dancing ends
We might add a concert and/or open mic session after the barn dance contact us to encourage us to do this if you would be interested in attending or performing.
